What is Fashion

Fashion is a style of living. It is a style of talking, walking, wearing and possessing things. There is hardly any field where we do not see fashion old and new .There is cyclic changes and movement in  fashion We cannot say all fashion are new .Many times old fashion reappear  after some gap. There are three types of the people-those who run ahead of fashions, those who run with the fashions and those who run behind the fashions. The first category of the people is the fashion-creators. They feel proud to create some fashion. The second category of the people does not want to be left behind. They want to avoid inferiority complex. Third type of the people are those who don't want to catch up with the waves of time .Usually the people follow fashion to earn money, name and fame and to keep pace with the changing time.  These days fashions are very important in our life .Most of the people always try to remain in fashion. Different type of fashion makes the people active, alert and smart. Fashions are very necessary for the economic development of the country. Fashion always changes. The very nature of fashion is to change with time .Novelty is one the main ingredients of fashion. But at the same time I would like to say that fashions are many times changed but with some modifications.TV movies and internet are the sources which make the people more fashionable .Daily we see the people imitating the fashions prompted by the actors and actresses. There are TV channels and magazines which pay special attention to promote fashions. These days film actors are the role models for the young people .Youngsters follow the actors in clothes; hair style and other things. The young boys and girls have different fashions to follow. Boys are crazy about fashionable mobile –phones, big cars, expensive bikes, latest shoes and clothes. Girls are interested in new and trendy dresses. They desire to wear the best clothes, best jewellery so that they can look young and attractive. Most of the products of fashion are prepared for women. They spent a lot of money. They consider it a status symbol to wear fashionable clothes. In my opinion clothes can change the outward personality of a person but not the real personality. Personality is always skin-deep. Clothes are only to hide the reality. More-over fashions have become industry which leads to economic growth.
